Plants Make People Happy.
This post brought to you by The Sill (the title above is their trademarked slogan). While I do not get paid by The Sill to market on their behalf, I appreciate them as a business! I have yet to order plants from them…but will soon.
The way I found out about The Sill was from my friend Caroline (she has photography under the “Images” tab). Caroline recently moved to SF and when I was visiting her a few weeks ago, I was able to meet alllll of her plant roomies! She has so many different types and they really bring a different sort of life into her apartment.
When I returned to Austin, I went to a Indoor Plants 101 class and purchased my first two plant buddies from a local shop (Tillery Street Plant Co. – check ‘em out!). They have so many different types of plants, pots, decor, and soil. Their next door neighboor is East Austin Succuelents which is equally as robust.
I’m excited to see if I will have a successful green thumb. I want to buy floating shelves for my living room and bedroom to add in a few more plants.* I’ve read that having indoor plants reduce stress and increase overall happiness for people. What’s not to like about that?
*Stay tuned for a post about a plant workshop I’m going to this weekend.
